Mindfulness and related factors among addicted adolescents

Objectives: Mindfulness has been defined as “the clear and single-minded awareness of what happens to us in us, at the successive moments perception”. Mindfulness-based therapies have used treatment psychiatric diseases recent years. There is no study on mindfulness addicted adolescents our country. In this study, we aimed determine level factors affecting among adolescents. Methods: Fourty drug-addicted fourty five healthy were included study. Sociodemographic Data Form, Addiction Profile Index Adolescent Form (BAPI-E), Mindful Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS), Coping Orientation Problems Experienced (COPE), Metacognition Questionnaire for Children Adolescents (MCQ-C) Child-Adolescent Social Support (CASS) applied participants. Clinical interviews (based DSM-V) performed assess addiction. Results: significant differences levels between non-addicted groups. The patients who attempted suicide lower than did not attempt suicide. Behavioral disengagement sub-scales COPE significantly higher substance use denial group. Conclusions: Non-functional styles coping with stress found be group, however, levels.
